Arcus Mons Bookkeeping Services (“Arcus Mons”, “we”, “us”) provides remote bookkeeping services to businesses across the United States. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and in the course of an engagement, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

Information we collect from this website

This website does not host a contact form and does not ask you to create an account. We collect nothing from you directly through these pages, apart from the analytics and advertising measurement described below.

If you call the number or use the email address published here, we receive whatever you choose to tell us — typically your name, your business, your phone number or email address, and a description of what you are looking for.

Server logs. Our web host records standard technical information for each visit, such as IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamp. This is used to keep the site running and secure.
Fonts. Typefaces on this site are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of that request. See Google’s privacy policy for details.
Advertising measurement. This site uses the Google Ads tag, which sets cookies and sends Google information about your visit — such as the pages you view and whether you click to book a consultation — so we can measure how well our advertising works. Analytics. Information we collect during an engagement

Bookkeeping is, by its nature, work on your financial records. To quote and perform the service we collect business contact details, information about your entity and how it operates, and the financial records the work requires — which typically includes bank and credit card statements, receipts and invoices, payroll and sales reports, loan documents, and access to your accounting file.

Those records may contain personal information about you, your owners, your employees and your customers. We treat all of it as confidential.

We ask for the narrowest access that lets us do the work — read-only wherever your bank or accounting platform offers it — and we ask you to send documents through secure channels rather than plain email. We do not move money on your behalf unless your engagement letter expressly says we do.

How we use information

To respond to your call or email and to schedule a conversation.
To prepare a quote and to perform the bookkeeping services you engage us for.
To prepare the financial statements and year-end package we deliver to you.
To communicate with the people you authorise us to speak to — typically your CPA or tax preparer, and anyone else you name in writing.
To meet our own legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.

We do not use your financial records for any purpose other than serving you. We do not sell them, and we do not use them to train anything.

How we share information

We do not sell your information, and we never share what you tell us or your financial records for advertising. Apart from the website advertising measurement described above, we share information only:

with the people you tell us to share it with, such as your CPA, tax preparer, lender or attorney;
with the service providers we use to do the work — accounting software, secure document storage and similar tools, each bound to protect it;
where we are required to by law, by subpoena, or by a regulator with authority over us.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold, including access limited to the people who need it and multi-factor authentication on the accounts that support it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — please send financial documents through the secure channel we set up rather than by email.

Your choices

You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to the records we are required to retain. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on which state you live in, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law, and we will honour them.

Children

This site and our services are directed to businesses, not to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
